While home in NYC from LA for the Holidays, Karla will appear in Akin Salawu's 1 act play "Hair In Strange Places" at the Kraine Theater.  The show runs from Dec. 15-17th and is part of the Public Theater's Emerging Writer's Group Holiday Stucco 1 Act Festival.

Karla was extremely excited to return to Anchorage, AK this past November to sing "Home" at the Covenant House Vigil.  Standing outside for an hour and performing in 14 degree weather truly puts what it means to be homeless into perspective!

Karla is singing at a benefit for Covenant House at the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, honoring Barbara and Laura Bush. The event will include performances by several stars of the Broadway Stage and beyond.  It is always a night filled with wonderful surprises - last year Diana Ross made an appearance!  The evening always closes with an incredibly inspiring performance by some of the CH kids.  Don't miss it!
