	December 15th - 17th, 2011 While home in NYC from LA for the Holidays, Karla will appear in Akin Salawu's 1 act play "Hair In Strange Places" at the Kraine Theater. The show runs from Dec. 15-17th and is part of the Public Theater's Emerging Writer's Group Holiday Stucco 1 Act Festival.
	November 21st, 2011 Karla is honored to portray Bessie Coleman - the first female, African-American stunt pilot - in the musical workshop of Barnstormer. Ken Roberson (Choreographer Avenue Q) directs and Marco Paguia (Adams Family) will musically direct.
	November 2011 Karla was extremely excited to return to Anchorage, AK this past November to sing "Home" at the Covenant House Vigil. Standing outside for an hour and performing in 14 degree weather truly puts what it means to be homeless into perspective!

	Dates?? Karla has had the pleasure of working on four developmental workshops of "Cool Papa's Party" this year by Thom Jones, III and William Knowles. The most recent incarnation was directed by Clarke Peters, with musical arrangements by Rahn Coleman and choreography by Keith Thomas.
	February, 2011 For two glorious weeks in February Lenelle Moise and Karla will be partnering with Hedgebrook (a women writer's colony) and CD Forum in Seattle to continue development on the acclaimed off-Broadway hit Expatriate.

	November 7th, 2010 Karla will be running in the NY Marathon to support Covenant House. "Homeless" doesn't always mean that you've lost housing due to a lack of money. 	October 26th, 2010 Expatriate at Smith College in Northampton, MA. If you are in Western Mass or know folks there please come out and support. 	October 11th - 17th, 2010 Karla will be performing in NYC in the new musical comedy "Trav'lin". This show features the music of JC Johnson who wrote music for Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Ella F., Ethyl Waters, Bessie Smith and more. It's a good old fashioned 1930s Harlem love story.
	October 8th, 2010 Karla will join the cast of the off-Broadway's Wanda's World in a benefit for the Vascular Birthmark Foundation at the Hudson Theater.
	September 2010 My dear friend and fellow artist, Kena Anae just headlined at the Manifesto Hip Hop festival in Toronto and he is setting his sights on Nigeria within the next year. 	July 2010 The Expatriate Amplification Project is now available for preview and download. This album is a recording of the music from Lenelle Moise's two woman play Expatriate. All the music is created using only Karla and Lenelle's voices and a loop machine. Check it out and join our Facebook Page!
	June 27th, 2010 Congratulations to the cast and crew of *Sophisticated Ladies* at Arena Stage for our extension through June 27th!!!
	June 3rd, 2010 Karla is singing at a benefit for Covenant House at the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, honoring Barbara and Laura Bush. The event will include performances by several stars of the Broadway Stage and beyond. It is always a night filled with wonderful surprises - last year Diana Ross made an appearance! The evening always closes with an incredibly inspiring performance by some of the CH kids. Don't miss it!
	April 26th, 2010 A Concert for All Voices: Broadway in Astoria Next Monday, April 26th at 6pm. Karla will be singing at a free concert in Athens Square Park, Astoria. Her husband, Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, will also announce his candidacy for NY State Assembly! Click here to view the facebok event.
	April 9th - May 30th, 2010 Karla is heading south to DC just in time to see the Cherry Blossoms bloom and miss all that snow! She will be performing "Sophisticated Ladies" at Arena Stage along with the incredible Maurice Hines who is coming out of retirement to choreograph and star in the show. 	March 1st, 2010 Karla performed in the workshop reading of the new play "Slashes of Light" on March 1st. The piece was written by Judy Tate, directed by Melissa Maxwell and produced by CAP21.
	February 22nd, 2010 Come celebrate the Nationwide DVD & Soundtrack Release for the feature film RED HOOK. Two Shows Only! Monday, February 22nd at 8pm & 10pm at Sweet Caroline's in New York City.
